The problem

ZYNC is an in-car video-streaming platform deployed in Mercedes-Benz electric vehicles and shown at CES 2023. The interface had to work across vehicle screen sizes and keep interactions glanceable for drivers.

What I owned

I built the Next.js and React frontend and designed and prototyped the UX in Figma for multiple vehicle screen sizes. I implemented authentication, dynamic routing, nested layouts, and locale-aware experiences.

Decisions and tradeoffs

I kept the interface glanceable and optimized rendering and perceived speed with Apollo Client, SWR, memoization, and server-side and static rendering patterns. I documented reusable UI in Storybook.

Outcomes

The platform shipped in Mercedes-Benz vehicles, was shown at CES 2023, and supported more than 10 languages.
