The Vision
Big goals are intimidating. Stepplr was built on a simple insight: break goals into small, achievable steps, and suddenly they become manageable. Add some motivation through trophies and the ability to work with friends, and you've got something people actually want to use.
Building It Together
I worked alongside Charles Bechaud, who handled the marketing and UX/UI design. I handled everything on the technical side: designing the architecture, building the entire app with React Native and Expo, and implementing the backend with Firebase.
It was true full-stack work: from UX prototypes to backend logic to release pipelines. I got to see how all the pieces fit together to create a cohesive product.
What I Learned
Stepplr taught me how to think about habit formation and user motivation. It showed me that sometimes the simplest ideas, breaking things into steps, are the most powerful. The experience strengthened my full-stack mobile skills and validated my approach to building products that people actually want to use.
